About Us

we have been family owned and operated since we opened in 1980. it was over 30 years ago that we established our name as a bakery with one location and today it has expanded into four. despite our expansion, renovations and alike, we've never strayed from our motto of "creating breads and pastries for the discriminating palate."

our philosophy is simple: create quality products using quality ingredients. we use this approach not only in our cakes and pastries but in our cafe aspect as well. for our cakes, desserts, cookies, breads and other baked goods, we strive to use the best ingredients without cutting any corners. we use real butter, pure vanilla extract, real eggs and fresh dairy products. all our baked goods are made from scratch in-house using natural ingredients and baked daily. it's not only a difference you can taste but it's what sets us apart from other bakeries in the Bay Area, and it's also why we've consistently won numerous awards including Best Cake and Best Dessert.

in our cafe, freshness isn't a relative term either. we don't make any salads, sandwiches or pastas until you order it. it may take a little longer than a fast-food joint, but it's made-to-order and most importantly, fresh. in keeping with our standards, we serve fair-trade organic drip coffee at our newest locations and espresso imported from Italy. we're also known for our Hot Chocolate drinks, which we make with fresh milk and real chocolate, not powder and not syrup.

with 30 successful years behind us, we look forward to upholding our commitment to excellence. we promise to continue to use the same high quality ingredients and unique recipes that have made us successful thus far.
